Join us for summer! Quantum has a summer session in Lorette happening from July 16 to the 20 at 9:00am till 12.00pm for ages 5-10. Students will participate in various styles of dance, play different games, and create arts and crafts. Register online today.
Returning students registration starts at 4:00pm June 4 until June 10. Registration is open to everyone starting June 11. You can register online, or come down in person to register during office hours which can be found under "contact info" on this page.

Kayla took her first dance class at the age of 3 and she has been passionate about it ever since. For over 25 years she has trained extensively at several schools in the Winnipeg area in the styles of ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop and musical theatre. In her younger years, she was also a competitive Rhythmic Gymnast. Kayla has completed the Musical Theatre and Fitness Theory courses at the University of Manitoba; as well as the Instructing Dance and Dance for Musical Theatre courses at the University of Winnipeg. One of Kayla’s proudest dance accomplishments is completing her Pre-primary through Grade Six, Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Exams.
As a dancer, Kayla has competed in numerous provincial and national dance competitions as well as attending workshops including Triple Threat and iDance. Kayla was a member of the Canadian National Hip Hop Team that competed at the World Championships in Bremen, Germany in 2007. Additional performance credits include The Music Man, The Gondoliers, and Oklahoma (Glenlawn Collegiate Institute, Winnipeg, MB); and The Great Russian Nutcracker (Moscow Ballet, Winnipeg, MB). Once Kayla had finished competing she knew she wasn’t ready to give up dance, so she started teaching in 2006 and has enjoyed sharing her passion and knowledge with her students ever since. Her students have competed in numerous competitions including SEMF, MDF, CNDC, and Dance.

Her students have competed in numerous competitions including SEMF, MDF, CNDC, and Dance World Cup in Ontario and Quebec. She is proud to have choreographed some wonderful routines that have won top place awards. Kayla even had one of her students be selected to attend a summer dance tour in Paris, France in 2011. She was fortunate to be able to accompany her student and had the pleasure of observing many new styles of dance and wonderful choreographers. Other choreography credits include: Back to the 80’s…The Totally Awesome Musical!; Little Shop of Horrors; Grease; and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (W.C. Miller Collegiate, Altona, MB).
In 2017 Kayla completed her Module 1 Acro certification.
Outside of teaching Kayla has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Winnipeg. She also still enjoys taking dance and aerial hoop classes, along wit her other joys of traveling, reading and scrapbooking Kayla is looking forward to a great year at Quantum Dance Academy!
Mona Gagnon holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from the University of St- Boniface. She currently teaches grade 2 at École et Collège régional Gabrielle-Roy. She has also taught many dance workshops in classes and created dance clubs in multiple elementary and high schools in Winnipeg, Niverville, Ile des Chenes, Lorette, St Agathe, and St Adolphe.
Miss Mona's career began in Niverville MB, where she started off as a teacher, and later becoming Director/Owner of the studio. She has been teaching hip hop to students ages 2 to adult for over 10 years. Her students have received prestigious awards at the provincial, national and international levels. Her choreographies have also won many awards and have helped students bring back many Junior Hip-Hop Scholarships, Judges Choice Awards and Overall Highest Mark Awards for years. One of her hip hop crews from Niverville MB, won 1st place in the junior category at In The Zone 7 competitions. The same crew also competed Mona’s routines at an international dance competition in Las Vegas and one of her hip-hop soloists placed 4th in the teen solo category, 7th for duos, as well as 2nd for trios and small groups. Miss Mona believes it is important to always train in order to keep up with the ever-changing world of hip hop. She has recently taken classes in Montreal, Toronto, Las Vegas and Los Angeles and will continue to keep up with the evolving world of dance.
In 2017 Mona completed her Module 1 Acro certification.
Miss Mona adores sharing her passion for dance with all her students. She provides a high-energy class that focuses on developing and improving skills, abilities, and musicality in a comfortable environment.
Since the age of 5 Xenia Franz has trained in various disciplines including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Hip Hop. She’s had the opportunity to compete at much different dance competitions both nationally and internationally, and was also a recipient of the SEMF scholarship in Steinbach MB. She has participated in many conventions including 5678 Showtime, iDance, and The Pulse Minneapolis. She has trained in Germany, as well as here in Manitoba. A highlight for her includes training at the R.W.B’s profession division summer program. She has successfully completed ADAPT Jazz and Tap exams and holds her Grade 8 Tap in the Al Gilbert syllabus. She has also completed many Cecchetti Ballet exams. Her greatest achievement includes passing her Advanced 2 Cecchetti Ballet exam in 2013. Xenia Franz was also a part of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers professional dance team for two years, where she trained extensively. She had the opportunity to perform alongside Dallas Smith and Dean Brody at The Grey Cup Festivals in both Vancouver, BC and Winnipeg, MB. Xenia is currently studying at the University of Manitoba in the Human Nutritional Sciences department. She is happy to share her knowledge, passion, and experience in dance with future generations of dancers.
Caryssa started dancing in Niverville at the young age of 6 and it has been her passion ever since. She has trained competitively in many styles such as jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop and lyrical. She has attended many conventions and competitions over her years of dancing.
She works full time as a Child Care Assistant. Caryssa learns new things about children everyday which helps her come up with fun ways for dancers to succeed and enjoy themselves at the same time!
Currently, Caryssa teaches tap and hip hop. Caryssa has trained and worked alongside Mona Gagnon for 14 years and hopes to continue passing on her love for dance to the students at Quantum Dance Academy! As a dance teacher, it brings her joy to see her students have a great time and complete the goals they have set for themselves as dancers. She hopes to inspire her students to work hard and smile while doing it!
Cortney’s passion for dance is evident in every breath she takes. Cortney is a gifted performer, teacher, and choreographer with an amazing ability to get her students to embrace their innermost feelings and dance them. As a young gymnast, she trained in the Provincial Competitive Program at Panthers Gymnastics, as a provincially ranked gymnast until the age of 10, at which time she decided to that due to her love of the performance side, she became a full-time dancer at the age of 11. She took home awards and scholarships like Dancer of The Year, Star Talent Winner, several standout scholarships from NUVO Dance Convention in the United States, Senior Jump V.I.P in Florida, Multiple Adjudicators Choice and Scholarships from Manitoba Dance Festival, along with the most prestigious Broadway Alliance Scholarship offering her training in New York. Cortney absorbed every opportunity for learning through competitions and workshops offered throughout Winnipeg, Canada and the USA and is always expanding her knowledge as a teacher.
Recently, Cortney combined her love of dance and gymnastics and completed her Module 1 & Module 2 Acrobatics Arts Teaching Certification from the Professional Curriculum for Acrobatic Dance.
Ms. Cortney looks forward to growing with Quantum Dance Academy and sharing her passion for dance with her students.
